4. Local Hardwood
Flooring
There are many australian species that are very suitable for flooring the common ones that tkb can supply are:
- Tasmanain oak
- Messmate
- Manna gum
- Australian wormy chesnut
- Victorian ash
The sizes that are available vary with the species but common sizes are:

All flooring is generally end matched and is supplied in random lengths in a secret nail profile, flooring should be fixed to a clean dry surface and should be glued and nailed (stapled) to particleboard or plywood subfloor or on a concrete slab to an overlaid plywood substrate or timber battens. Flooring grades, generally timber is graded to select grade or standard grade and there is also specific grades that highlight features such as wormy or natural feature grade. A utility grade for non appearance applications is available from time to time.
